REMOTE ADVISORY, EUROPE AND BEYOND
Working With Hotels Outside the UK & Ireland
Most of my work is in Edinburgh, Dublin and Liverpool. A growing part of it isn’t — because the operational problems AI and better systems can fix are the same in every independent hotel, wherever it is.

What I can help with from anywhere
AI and automation. The guest inbox, review responses, the management reporting pack, the repetitive administration that eats reception’s day. These are the same problems in every independent hotel, and the tools are the same too. Most of the value is in choosing the right few and implementing them properly — not in buying a platform. See practical AI for independent hotels.
Systems and process. Housekeeping workflow, stock control, maintenance registers, management reporting. How a hotel runs day to day is method, and method travels.
Operational diagnosis. Reading a P&L, a payroll and an occupancy report to find where the money is actually going doesn’t require knowing your town. It requires having done it.
What I won’t pretend to know
I don’t know your local labour market, your supplier options, your licensing rules or your demand calendar. Your team does. On anything market-specific I work alongside them rather than over the top of them — and I’ll tell you when a question is one for someone local.
That applies to revenue management in particular. The method is portable; the comp set and the events calendar are not.
I don’t sell software
I run hotels. I built and run a housekeeping app inside my own hotel, so I know what it takes to get an operational tool actually used by a housekeeping team rather than abandoned after three weeks.
What I don’t do is sell you a platform. I take no commission from any software vendor. The recommendation is whatever is right for your hotel, including doing nothing.
How it works
Remote first. Video calls, shared access to the reports and systems you already produce, and work between calls. Nothing about this requires me in the building.
A visit when it earns its place. For a full operational review, or a turnaround, being on site matters and I’ll say so. Travel is arranged at cost, not marked up.
English. All work is conducted in English.
Start with a conversation. A free consultation, a look at where your hotel is losing time or money, and an honest answer about whether I’m the right person for it.
